Founder of 'Deshpande Foundation' Mrs. Jaishree Deshpande and Mr. Gururaj Deshpande spent their valuable time with us on February 7. Mr. and Mrs. 'Desh' interacted with all the fellows and told us about their life journey from Hubli to Bostan, US.

Village Study

We went to Inam veerapur village for village study actually we have a 2 days plan for this village. In this village, our purpose only understands this village such as what is village. , what they are having basic needs? what are resource is their, and in this village what is the condition of health and sanitation? In addition, what is the condition of farmers in this village so this type of we had plan. So in this team we are four members we 1^st day we started our study that was good experience to us because in this villagers they welcome very heartily to us after we met AME foundation we had introduce ourselves and our purpose after they all are introduced self after we intact with community about village background and what is the population , and education rate ,all these things .

After intracaction with community we went to transact walk with villagers and observed what is the condition n of this village hoses and drainage system in this village drainage using is very poor because of they do not have proper drainage each street. Water arability is good because of this is a small village they have two bore wells, but whenever breakage of electricity leads to difficulty of access of water.

about Health and sanitation we learned from villagers here they don’t facing any highly diseases ,its wonder because they are using hubli drainage water for agriculture purpose.

DCSE Inauguration By Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

It was very happiest movement day to me because of I met Famous Scientist, Honorable Ex President of India Mr.A. P J Abdul Kalam he came for Deshpande Center for Social Entrepreneurship (DCSE)opening ceremony on 6 February 2009 along with I met big achiver infoyisis founder Mr. Narayan Murti , Smt. Sudha Muti and our founder trusty Mr. Gururaj. Deshpande and Smt. Jayashree Deshpande it is luck to me and I thankfull to our organization for gave this opportunity.
I was waiting for Kalam to see him closely with all Deshpande Foundation Fellows and Staff Members. I did not thought he will not this type of simple but he was very simple and smile person. As he entered into building I started clapping to welcome him. As he saw all of us he raised his hand towards us to hand sake, I also get this opportunity and hold his soft hand into my hand. After inauguration we all fellows had a group photo with Dr. kalam, Mr. and Mrs. Narayanmurthi, Mr. and Mrs. Deshpande. Dr. Kalam Preached us by his valuable motivating words.
After inauguration of DCSE and Dr. RH Kulkarni Memorial Lecture Hall Complex he addressed the gathering. He spoke on Creative Leadership, Economic development and prosperity, Distinctive Profile of India by 2020, Integrated Action for developed India, Baktara PURA in 2011. After Dr. Kalam’s speech Mrs. Sudha Narayanmurthi, Mr. NR Narayanmurthi and Gururaj Deshpande share their constructive thoughts. This program was memorable for me to have all these great personalities and to listen their view on Social entrepreneur.
